Satellite Event | KiCon Asia 2024 Registration is underway, see you in Shenzhen in November!

As the organizer of Maker Faire Shenzhen 2024, we will, like last year, recruit a series of satellite events further to connect global makers with the Greater Bay Area ecosystem. Today, we are excited to share the details of our second satellite event: KiCon Asia 2024.

Event Date: November 15-16, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM  

Event Format: Series of conferences  

Organizer: KiCad Community and Huaqiu Electronics

KiCon Asia 2024 will take place in Shenzhen on November 15-16, 2024. The conference invites core developers from around the world, as well as contributors from academia and the maker community, allowing you to explore cutting-edge technology while learning about the latest EDA technologies and trends.

01. How to Register?

Regular Ticket: Priced at $27.8, includes access to the main conference on November 15-16, along with meals for both days—an excellent value! Attendees from last year know that the evening events are the highlight, providing an opportunity to engage with experts from around the globe.

It is recommended to purchase an “Early Bird Ticket,” priced at just $13.9, which has the same benefits as the regular ticket but is limited in quantity and may sell out at any time! Students can purchase a “Student Ticket” (student ID required).

For corporate clients seeking personalized completion certificates, a Business Ticket is available for $41.8.

If you’re interested in KiCad training, you can purchase a KiCad training course for $83.9. This one-day course will be taught by KiCad Lead Developer Seth Hillbrand. If enough interest is shown, the training will be held on November 14.

02. Kicon Agenda

Time: November 14-17, 2024  

Location: Atour Hotel, Vanke Cloud City, Nanshan, Shenzhen  

  • The main conference (ticket included) will span two days, November 15-16 (Friday and Saturday).
  • The training on November 14 is specifically for enterprise users interested in KiCad and includes independent teaching materials and certificates. Whether the training will be held depends on registration numbers.
  • The developer conference on November 17 is for developers interested in KiCad development and requires a separate registration.

03. Keynote Speakers

In addition to our old friends Wayne Staubaugh and Seth Hillbrand, KiCon will feature lead developers from the UK, Russia, and Japan, as well as developers from China, including Ethan and Eric. Confirmed speakers include Bo Ge from M5Stack, open-source advocate Professor Lai Xiaozheng, and maker Laila from Uganda.
