Maker Bio:

Qux, a Japanese makers’ group that started in February 2018, has been developing analog module synthesizers, arranging them as simple kits and selling them at various maker’s events such as the Maker Fair Tokyo 2019.
Since 2019, Qux’s synthesizer kits have also been sold at the Radio Super by Maywadenki, a Japanese media artist group, in Akihabara, Tokyo. In July 2020, Qux performed with their instruments at the online event called “DIY Music on Desktop” hosted by Make:Japan.

Project Name: Analog Synthesizer Kits

Project Introduction:

Having the basic idea of “Bring everyone to Maker’s world.”, we have been creating analog synthesizer kits since 2018. Because it looks pretty technical, electronics (and soldering) seems to be designed for geeks. No! Electronics is fun, it is for everyone. It just looks difficult.
Therefore, simplicity and cuteness are our first design priorities. Our kits need only two steps: solder and plug. Then everyone can play music! Want to hack a bit? Yes, please! We hope that our kits bring more people to the Makers’ world.

For sound guys: the sound of our synths is so fat.

Special Thanks

to Maker Music Festival for inviting this amazing project to exhibit on Maker Faire Shenzhen 2021.
